Banks
All banks are situated in the main towns. The opening hours are 0830-1500 weekdays (closed weekends and public holidays). The opening hours for banks are changing and if you have a Cashcard or Credit Card, there are ‘hole-in-the-wall’ machines available.
To cash any form of money you are likely to need your passport as well as the relevant Cheque Card. For cash, we recommend you take Travellers Cheques, Bank or Credit Cards, which can be used in hole in the wall machines.
Credit Cards are accepted in the larger shops and hotels and some may make a charge for using them, please check before you make any purchases. Increasingly, garages accept Credit Cards. The supermarkets in the village will usually change money or cheques, and end to offer competitive rates.
Post Office
A travelling post office calls daily to the village at about 1330 hrs.
